The construction documentation stage prepares the design for construction. Drawings including plans, elevations and sections, together with other details and schedules are prepared to enable construction approval and will be used in the construction process. These drawings will integrate the work of other specialist consultants.

In additional to more detailed drawings, specifications and schedules are further developed to describe the quality of materials, finishes and quality of work necessary to meet the client’s requirements.

When construction documentation is completed, the document will be used to call tenders or negotiate prices with the builder and for the building approval application. Note that timeframes for building approval will vary. Obtain the client’s written approval of the construction documents and obtain the client’s written approval to submit for statutory approval.
